Job Purpose
The QA/QC Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming and outgoing
materials and products, as well as overseeing production procedures. Key tasks include reviewing
Material Test Reports (MTR), providing drawings and specifications to suppliers, conducting
dimensional inspections of components, testing assemblies, recording defects, and managing
manufacturing and QA processes. In addition to these quality-focused responsibilities, the role also
involves supporting Order Management by coordinating with suppliers, tracking orders, and
assisting with logistics coordination to help timely and accurate product deliveries.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure that all processes needed for the Global Quality Management System (QMS) are established,
implemented, and maintained.
- Provide oversight of the QMS at the Engineering and Manufacturing location(s).
- Ensure that there is cooperation with external parties in matters relating to the QMS; interfaces with
customers and vendors on all quality related matters.
- Schedule and initiate internal and third-party audits, review and implement any required corrective
actions resulting from either or both audits.
- Investigate product quality problems; identify and recommend changes or improvement in the
manufacturing process.
- Monitor Production department's conformance with QA standards and procedures. Report on the
performance of the QMS and any need for improvement to WIS and Supplier Management.
- Collect and analyze data and report findings through Management reviews.
- Maintain and update proper documentation and reports throughout all departments.
- Assure compliance with Company's production, safety, and quality procedures.
- Develop and update QMS procedures to ensure capture and investigation, as well as proper
documentation of complaints.
- Monitor and develop risk-management procedures and maintain and analyze problem logs to identify
and report recurring issues to management and product development.
- Provide training and support to QMS organization on systems, policies, procedures, and core
processes.

- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation companies to ensure timely delivery
of goods.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to provide updates on order status and
delivery schedules.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, make improvements, and report key metrics to management.
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or similar.
- Demonstrated history of strong organizational and scheduling skills.
- Knowledge of common quality management systems such as ISO9001 and API Q1.
- Understanding of basic oilfield practices and applications.
- Must have knowledge and familiarity with creating and implementing manufacturing support
documentation for specifications such as materials, welding, coatings, and heat treating.
- Experience in maintaining a QMS compliant to API Q1/ISO9001 and/or API Q2 is required.
- Minimum 5 years of technical management with downhole tools.
- Ability to dimensionally check parts.
- Understand and comprehend manufacturing prints and tolerances.
