- Role: Assistant / Deputy Manager - QA/QC
- Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control
Job Purpose:
- To assist in implementing and maintaining quality assurance and control systems at
- construction sites to ensure that all materials and workmanship conform to approved
- drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and company policies
- Monitor QA/QC activities on-site, ensuring compliance with the project specifications, applicable codes, and companys quality policies.
- Inspect all the documents as well as construction activities and materials to ensure compliance with approved standards.
- Coordinate and witness third-party tests and inspections.
- Attending the meeting with the clients and management team.
- Coordinate for the the management review meetings and updating on the actions to be taken.
- Assist in preparing Method Statements, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and Quality Checklists.
- Maintain and update QA/QC documentation, records, and reports.
- Issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Support internal and external audits and help ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Conduct quality awareness and training programs for site personnel.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality-related issues.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality testing equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- B.E/M.E-Civil
- 10-15 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction or infrastructure
- industry preferably in high-rise building projects or commercial projects preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and QMS documentation.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, statistical process control, and quality management systems
- Knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and relevant codes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross functional teams
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality certifications
Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC-related tools.
