Job Title: QA Tester

Years of Experience : 3 to 6 years

Work Mode: Work from Office

Join us as a QA Tester and play a meaningful role in improving healthcare software used by clinicians and patients. You'll ensure our products are safe, reliable, and compliant before they reach real users who depend on them. If you enjoy problem-solving, attention to detail, and contributing to technology that makes a difference, this role offers both purpose and challenge.

As part of the department

You will be part of the Healthcare Business Unit within EG, a leading Nordic software company. Our team of approximately 70 employees, based in Mangalore, develops and maintains healthcare software solutions serving customers across Denmark and Norway. As part of the QA function, you will work closely with developers, product managers, clinicians, operations teams, and regulatory

stakeholders to ensure that every release meets the high standards required in the healthcare domain. The department places a strong focus on reliability, security, compliance, and continuous improvement, and QA plays a critical role in validating product quality, safeguarding patient safety, and ensuring a smooth user experience for healthcare professionals and patients.

Your workday, your tasks and mandatory skill set

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners to gather project requirements and define test plans.
  • Create and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to identify software defects and ensure adherence to functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, usability, performance, and security.
  • Identify, analyze, and report software defects, including tracking defects to resolution and ensuring their proper closure.
  • Monitor and measure test coverage to ensure thorough testing of software components and systems.
  • Conduct regression testing to verify the impact of software changes on existing functionality.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with development teams to facilitate effective and timely defect resolution.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, incorporating best practices and industry standards.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and techniques related to quality assurance and testing.

You are the ideal candidate if you

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience as a Quality Analyst or similar role in the IT industry.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including agile and waterfall.
  • Proficiency in test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of software testing techniques, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with functional and non-functional testing, including usability, accessibility, performance, and security testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
