Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd (EITSI) is a fully owned subsidiary of Eurofins and functions as a Global Software Delivery Center exclusively catering to Eurofins Global IT business needs. The code shipped out of EITSI impacts the global network of Eurofins labs and services.

The primary focus at EITSI is to develop the next generation LIMS (Lab Information Management system), Customer portals, e-commerce solutions, ERP/CRM system, Mobile Apps & other B2B platforms for various Eurofins Laboratories and businesses. Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead to lead the quality assurance automation strategy for our eCommerce platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining automation frameworks, leading a team of automation engineers, and ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable releases across web, mobile, and backend systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of eCommerce workflows.

Key Responsibilities:


Automation Strategy & Leadership

• Define and own the test automation strategy for web, mobile, and API layers of the eCommerce platform
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of automation test engineers
• Drive best practices for test automation, CI/CD integration, and test data management
• Collaborate with QA Managers, Product Owners, Architects, and Developers to align quality goals

Test Automation Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using industry-standard tools
• Implement automated test coverage for:
• Product catalog, search, and recommendations
• Shopping cart, checkout, and payment gateways
• Order management, fulfillment, and returns
• Promotions, pricing, and tax calculations
• User authentication and profile management
• Ensure automation supports cross-browser, cross-device, and multi-region testing

CI/CD & DevOps Integration

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Enable automated execution for smoke, regression, and sanity test suites
• Analyze pipeline failures and optimize execution time and reliability

Quality Assurance & Testing Oversight

• Review test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for quality and coverage
• Ensure proper balance between manual and automated testing
• Define and track automation metrics such as coverage, stability, and defect leakage
• Perform root cause analysis of production issues related to test gaps

Collaboration & Agile Practices

• Actively participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Work closely with development teams to enable shift-left testing
• Advocate for quality throughout the SDLC

Reporting & Communication

• Provide regular status updates on automation progress, risks, and release readiness
• Present automation metrics and quality insights to stakeholders and leadership
• Identify and propose improvements to tools, processes, and workflows

Required Skills & Qualifications


Technical Skills

• Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or WebDriverIO
• Experience in API automation using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or Karate
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• Experience with test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Mocha, Jest)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker)
• Experience with performance or security testing tools is a plus

eCommerce Domain Knowledge

• Strong understanding of eCommerce business flows and integrations
• Experience testing payment gateways, third-party integrations, and microservices
• Knowledge of SEO, analytics, and tracking validation is a plus

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Proven ability to lead and mentor automation teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to balance hands-on automation with leadership responsibilities
• Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail

Mandatory:

• 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• 3+ years of experience leading automation initiatives or QA teams
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with BDD/TDD practices
• Knowledge of mobile automation (Appium)
• Exposure to AI-driven testing tools
• Experience working in large-scale, high-traffic eCommerce platforms

Required Qualifications:

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA: Eurofins has a strong focus on Performance Management system. This includes quarterly calibrations, half-yearly reviews and annual reviews. The KPIs shall be set and may vary slightly between projects. These will be clearly communicated, documented during the first 30 days of your joining.
