QA / Test Engineer (2 to 7 years)

We're hiring: QA / Testing Engineers (Manual + Automation) – e-Governance Platform

COSQ Network Private Limited is building a citizen-facing e-Governance platform on Java Spring Boot and React/Next.js. We are hiring QA engineers at three levels to make sure every release is safe for citizens and government departments.

Location: Trivandrum, India (on-site only)

Employment type: Full-time

OPEN LEVELS AND CTC (based on skills and experience)

• Senior QA Engineer (Grade II) – 4+ years total, 2+ in test automation – 6.6 – 7.9 LPA

• QA Engineer (Grade III) – 3+ years total, 1+ in test automation – 6.1 – 7.3 LPA

• QA / Testing Engineer (Grade IV) – 2+ years total, basic automation exposure – 5.0 – 5.9 LPA

WHAT YOU'LL DO (ALL LEVELS)

• Write and execute test scenarios and test cases from requirements and user

stories across functional, regression, integration and UAT cycles.

• Test REST APIs with Postman and validate data in PostgreSQL using SQL.

• Test end-to-end citizen journeys: application, document upload, role-based

approval workflow, payment, notification and certificate issue.

• Log clear, reproducible defects with steps, screenshots and expected versus

actual results; verify fixes.

• Check forms, validations and reports across browsers and devices; take part

in stand-ups, UAT support and release checklists.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES BY LEVEL

• Grade II (Senior): define the test strategy, plans and coverage; design and

maintain UI (Playwright, Cypress or Selenium) and API (REST Assured,

Postman/Newman) automation frameworks; run performance tests (JMeter or k6);

review requirements early and raise gaps with the BA; report quality metrics

and mentor junior testers.

• Grade III: automate common flows and contribute to the UI automation suite;

validate workflow approvals, notifications and role-based access across

departments; support release sign-off.

• Grade IV: execute manual test cycles with care; learn and contribute to

automation scripts under senior guidance.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience at or above your level, as listed above.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, test design techniques and the defect

life cycle.

• API testing with Postman, basic SQL, and defect tracking in Jira or a

similar tool.

• Experience testing web applications with React or similar front ends and

Java back ends.

• Grade II–III: hands-on automation with Selenium, Cypress or Playwright;

Grade II also CI integration of automated tests (Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub

Actions).

• Attention to detail, clear written bug reports and good communication.

GOOD TO HAVE

• Accessibility testing (WCAG, GIGW), multilingual and cross-browser testing.

• Performance testing (JMeter) and OWASP security basics with tools such as ZAP or Burp Suite.

• ISTQB certification and prior testing of government or large public portals.
