Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled Sterling OMS QA Engineer with hands-on experience in NextGen OMS implementations (IBM Sterling Order Management System - DOM). The candidate will be responsible for validating order lifecycle workflows, integrations, and ensuring high-quality releases across distributed commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform functional, integration, and end-to-end testing for Sterling OMS (NextGen/DOM) implementations
- Validate complete order lifecycle flows - order capture, sourcing, fulfillment, shipment, and returns
- Test NextGen architecture components, including microservices and API-based integrations
- Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for OMS modules
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman/REST clients for OMS services
- Validate integrations with external systems such as:
- ERP (SAP, Oracle)
- Payment gateways
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams in Agile/Scrum environments
- Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing for releases
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like Jira/ALM
- Support UAT testing and production validation
Required Skills:- Strong experience in IBM Sterling OMS (DOM / NextGen architecture)
- Good understanding of:
- Order orchestration
- Inventory visibility
- Sourcing and fulfillment logic
- Hands-on experience in API testing (REST/SOAP)
- Experience in SQL queries for backend validation
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Familiarity with test automation tools (Selenium / RestAssured is a plus)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
- Understanding of Agile methodology
Preferred Skills:- Experience in Retail / E-commerce domain
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter)
- Experience in event-driven architecture (Kafka)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
