QA Manual Test Engineer - Lead

nGenue is a leading software company specializing in Natural Gas software solutions. We empower businesses in the energy sector with cutting-edge technology to optimize operations and enhance decision-making. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and organized Quality Assurance / Manual Test Engineers who can help us in testing various nGenue products and releasing the products with utmost quality.

The candidate chosen should have a good aptitude and attitude for testing and should be technically sound and passionate towards learning different technologies with test to break attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Conduct thorough testing to identify potential issues and ensure software meets specified requirements.
• Participate in requirement reviews, design reviews, and change control activities to provide input from a testing perspective.
• Prepare test data and environments to facilitate effective testing.
• Ensure all issues are accurately reported, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
• Provide detailed test reports and summaries to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in testing complex applications.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Good knowledge on at least one programming language, SQL and database queries.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of API testing and techniques.
