QA Lead

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to drive quality assurance processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual and automation testing, API testing, mobile testing, and non-functional testing while efficiently managing a team. This role requires a strategic mindset to define and execute test strategies, ensuring product stability, security, and performance. The QA Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high testing standards and improve QA efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning & Strategy

- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for various testing types.

- Define test objectives, scope, and timelines aligned with project requirements.

- Identify test risks and mitigation strategies to ensure smooth test execution.

- Implement best practices in test case management and documentation.

- Continuously improve QA processes and implement industry best practices.

2. Manual & Automation Testing

- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing across platforms.

- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, and other automation tools.

- Identify automation opportunities and implement test scripts to improve efficiency.

- Ensure end-to-end test coverage by integrating manual and automated testing efforts.

- Work with development teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.

3. API & Mobile Testing

- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured to validate service requests, responses, and authentication.

- Ensure API integration testing aligns with business logic and functional requirements.

- Conduct mobile application testing (Android & iOS) for usability, performance, and functionality.

- Automate API and mobile test cases for consistent validation.

4. Non-Functional Testing

- Execute performance and load testing using JMeter to analyze system behavior under different conditions.

- Ensure compliance with security, scalability, usability, and accessibility standards.

- Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure application safety.

- Work with DevOps and engineering teams to optimize CI/CD testing integration.

5. Team Leadership & Coordination

- Lead and mentor the QA team, providing technical guidance and best practices.

- Assign tasks, track progress, and conduct regular team sync-ups.

- Foster collaboration between QA, development, and business teams.

- Establish effective defect tracking, triage, and resolution processes.

- Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities for the QA team.

6. Communication & Reporting

- Track and report quality metrics, defect trends, and test execution status.

- Work closely with stakeholders to align QA efforts with business goals.

- Collaborate with DevOps to maintain seamless CI/CD pipelines.

- Utilize JIRA, Slack, and other tools for efficient communication and defect tracking.

- Prepare detailed test reports and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 7+ years of experience in QA, automation testing, and team leadership.

- Strong expertise in manual and automated testing methodologies.

- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress.

- Experience in API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and mobile testing (Android, iOS).

- Hands-on experience in performance testing using JMeter.

- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

- Experience with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with CI/CD integration, DevOps, and test automation best practices.

- Experience using JIRA, Slack, and test case management tools.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.

- Experience in risk-based testing and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of security testing principles and tools.

- ISTQB Certification or equivalent is a plus.

- Hands-on experience with AI-driven test automation frameworks.

- Exposure to emerging technologies in test automation and performance testing.
