We are seeking a QA Lead who is passionate about quality and experienced in leading QA efforts in a fast-paced development environment. You will work closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality releases, lead the QA team, and instill a strong culture of quality-first development. This is a hands-on role requiring both leadership and deep technical QA skills, including backend testing and MySQL expertise.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end QA process across multiple software development teams.
- Define and drive QA strategy, including manual testing, regression, testing, integration testing, smoke testing, and backend testing.
- Design, maintain, and execute test cases across APIs, databases, and UIs.
- Work closely with developers to proactively identify issues and build a quality-oriented culture.
- Ensure thorough regression testing is conducted before every release.
- Use MySQL for validating backend data, running queries, and verifying complex test scenarios.
- Select and manage appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
- Mentor QA engineers and review their test plans and execution strategies.
- Implement or support test automation efforts and integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software QA, with 2+ years in a QA leadership role.
- Strong command of MySQL for backend data validation and test design.
- Experience testing web-based applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Deep understanding of regression, integration, and system testing.
- Familiarity with QA tools like Jira, TestRail, Postman, BrowserStack, etc.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Experience collaborating with developers in Agile/Scrum environments.
