QA Engineer (with Playwright)

Key Responsibilities

•            Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and API applications using Playwright, and TypeScript.

•            Create and execute automated test suites covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing scenarios.

•            Perform API testing by validating requests, responses, authentication, business logic, and system integrations.

•            Conduct database testing, including SQL query validation, data integrity verification, backend data reconciliation, and database-driven test scenarios.

•            Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines and support quality gates across the software development lifecycle.

•            Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development process.

•            Perform performance and exploratory testing to identify bottlenecks, edge cases, and opportunities for improvement.

•            Analyze defects, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous quality improvements across releases.

Mandatory Skills

•            Proven expertise in Playwright & Typescript for modern web application automation testing.

•            Strong experience with Selenium for UI automation and test development.

•            Hands-on experience in API testing, including REST API validation, automation, and integration testing.

•            Strong experience in Database Testing, including SQL queries, data validation, backend verification, and data integrity testing.

•            Experience implementing and maintaining automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

•            Good understanding of DevOps practices and software release processes.

•            Hands-on experience working with at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Good to Have Skills

•            Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) or AI-powered testing solutions.

•            Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Locust.

•            Experience with Python

Qualifications

•            Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

•            7+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, and test automation.

•            Proven experience in web, API, and database testing within Agile development environments.
