Job Title: QA Engineer (Scrum) – 5+ Years Experience
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer with strong exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of applications through effective test strategies, automation, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks for UI and API testing
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming)
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure quality deliverables
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect tracking tools
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and processes
- Work on CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured
- Contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes within Agile teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Hands-on experience in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Experience in API testing (Postman, Rest Assured, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
- Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
