QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Write Python Scripts for Automation:
• Develop Python scripts specifically for web and API automation testing.
• Use Python to automate repetitive testing tasks, speeding up the release process while ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Maintain & Extend Selenium Framework:
• Work with an existing Selenium automation framework developed in Python.
• Continuously enhance and maintain the framework to ensure it remains effective for new testing requirements.
• Collaborate with Developers and Product Teams:
• Work closely with developers and product teams to ensure that releases meet quality standards.
• Act as a bridge between testing and development to understand features and implement appropriate tests.
• Own Testing for Core Modules and APIs:
• Take responsibility for testing core modules and APIs, ensuring that they perform as expected.
• Write tests for functional and performance aspects of core components.

Must-Have Skills:

• Functional QA Background:
• Strong understanding of functional QA practices, focusing on ensuring that the software meets business and functional requirements.
• Proficiency in Python:
• Strong experience in Python development, as it is a core part of the automation work.
• Must be comfortable writing, debugging, and optimizing Python code for testing purposes.
• Selenium Automation:
• Hands-on experience with Selenium for web automation using Python.
• Familiar with locators, synchronization, and browser handling using Selenium WebDriver.
• Python-based Automation Frameworks:
• Ability to manage and extend existing Python-based automation frameworks.
• Familiar with organizing tests, data-driven testing, and using tools like pytest or unittest with Selenium.
• Web & API Testing:
• Experience in testing web applications and APIs, particularly RESTful services.
• Familiar with request/response validation, error handling, and authentication in API testing.

Skills Overview:

• Automation Testing: Writing automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and integration.
• Manual Testing: Conducting manual tests when necessary to catch edge cases or issues not covered by automation.
• Functional Testing: Ensuring that the software meets its functional requirements, working as expected from the user's perspective.
