QA Engineer (Playwright)

About Us:

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer (Playwright) with 1+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in a SaaS-based, fast-paced startup environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our product by designing test cases, executing test plans, and collaborating closely with developers.

Role Overview:

As a QA Engineer, you will take ownership of the quality of our product and by designing, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated test cases. You will collaborate closely with developers and designers to ensure we meet the highest standards for product quality. In this role, you'll work on testing across multiple environments and contribute to enhancing product performance, stability, and user experience, with a strong focus on automation (Playwright), performance testing (JMeter), and accessibility testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases using Playwright for web applications.
• Ensure high product quality by identifying and reporting bugs, defects, and inconsistencies.
• Work closely with developers and designers to understand feature requirements and provide early feedback.
• Perform performance and load testing using JMeter to evaluate system stability under different workloads.
• Conduct accessibility testing using BrowserStack and Lighthouse to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices.
• Perform basic database validation using SQL queries when required.
• Execute API testing using Postman to validate backend functionality and data integrity.
• Participate in agile development processes, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Identify testing gaps and suggest improvements to enhance product reliability and user experience.
• Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and reports.
• Use Jira for defect tracking and reporting and Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in a SaaS product company.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of JMeter for performance testing.
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments with agile methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC), bug tracking, and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
• Proficiency with API testing using Postman, including creating collections, writing test scripts, and validating responses.
• Familiarity with BrowserStack Accessibility Testing and Lighthouse.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git/GitHub is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
