QA Engineer

About the Role

Navatech is hiring a Manual QA Engineer to Test functional areas in mobile and web applications across our product surfaces. You'll work closely with developers and product managers to catch issues before they reach users, write clear test cases, and build the testing discipline that scales as the product grows.

Responsibilities

• Write, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans for new features and regression cycles

• Perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing across web and/or mobile surfaces

• Log, triage, and track defects to closure using the team's bug-tracking tool (Jira or equivalent)

• Validate fixes and re-test before release sign-off

• Collaborate with developers and PMs during sprint planning to clarify acceptance criteria

• Participate in release readiness reviews and maintain test documentation

• Flag edge cases, usability issues, and inconsistencies proactively, not just scripted failures Requirements

• 1-2 years of hands-on manual QA experience in a product/software company

• Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and testing fundamentals (test design, bound ary/edge cases, regression strategy)

• Mobile app testing (Android and iOS)

• Experience with a bug-tracking tool (Jira) and a test-case management tool (excel and Confluence)

• Clear written communication —bug reports must be reproducible by someone who wasn't in the room

• If misses happen and found- Proficient enough to give an detailed RCA of the miss

• Comfortable working in a hybrid, fast-moving startup environment

Nice to Have

• Exposure to API testing (Postman)

• Basic scripting familiarity (Python) — a strong signal for growth potential • Use of Agentic systems like Claude or Codex is a bonus point.
