Job Overview Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven QA Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The role involves understanding requirements, designing test scenarios, executing tests, and identifying defects. You will work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements
- Design and execute test cases and test scenarios
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and verify fixes
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and sprint reviews
- Conduct re-testing and regression testing after bug fixes
- Ensure product quality before release
- Maintain test documentation and reports
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Knowledge of manual testing concepts and techniques
- Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Basic understanding of API testing using tools like Postman
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Basic SQL knowledge for data validation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python, or JavaScript)
- Understanding of version control tools like Git
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant QA certifications are a plus
