QA Engineer Manual & Automation Testing

About the Role

We are looking for a QA Engineer / Software Tester to join our product team and take ownership of manual and automation testing for our healthcare AI-based product.

The ideal candidate should have strong testing fundamentals, attention to detail, and an interest in working on AI-powered healthcare applications, where quality, reliability, data accuracy, security, and user experience are critical.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, AI/ML, and Healthcare Operations teams to identify issues, validate new features, and ensure a high-quality product experience.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing

• Create and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, test plans, and test checklists.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Test web and mobile applications across different browsers, devices, and environments.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs using appropriate issue-tracking tools.
• Validate APIs and backend workflows.
• Perform end-to-end testing of healthcare workflows involving patients, doctors, hospitals, and administrators.
• Verify data accuracy and consistency across different modules.

Automation Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for critical application workflows.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber/BDD, Appium, or similar technologies.
• Automate regression and repetitive test scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze automation failures and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve test coverage and automation efficiency.

Healthcare AI Product Testing

• Test AI-powered features for accuracy, consistency, reliability, and expected behaviour.
• Validate AI-generated responses against defined business and clinical requirements.
• Test edge cases, unexpected inputs, incomplete information, and ambiguous user queries.
• Identify potential AI hallucinations, incorrect responses, inconsistencies, and failure scenarios.
• Test AI workflows involving healthcare data while maintaining a strong focus on privacy, security, and data integrity.
• Work with the AI/ML team to define suitable test datasets and evaluation scenarios.

Collaboration

• Work closely with developers, product managers, AI/ML engineers, and healthcare domain teams.
• Participate in requirement discussions and provide QA inputs early in the product development lifecycle.
• Review product requirements and identify potential gaps, risks, and test scenarios.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, defect triage, and release validation.
• Provide QA sign-off before production releases.

Required Skills

• 2–5 years of experience in software testing / QA engineering.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case design.
• Experience with automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
• Basic understanding of SQL/database testing.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD environments.
• Strong bug reporting and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of regression, integration, functional, usability, and end-to-end testing.

Good to Have

• Experience testing AI/ML-based products or LLM applications.
• Experience in healthcare, health-tech, SaaS, or medical technology products.
• Knowledge of testing conversational AI, chatbots, speech-to-text, NLP, or generative AI applications.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of healthcare data privacy and security requirements.
• Experience creating automated API and end-to-end test suites.
• Familiarity with performance and security testing.
