About The Role
As a Software QA Engineer Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate with our development team to identify and report defects, perform various testing activities, and contribute to the overall improvement of our software development process. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Test Planning and Design:
- Collaborate with the QA team to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Participate in review meetings to ensure test coverage and accuracy of testing documentation.
- Test Execution:
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, usability, and security.
- Identify, document, and track defects using designated defect tracking tools, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Regression Testing:
- Conduct regular regression testing to ensure new features or changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Automate regression test cases using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.
- Integration and System Testing:
- Perform integration testing to validate the interaction between various software components and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end system functionality and compatibility.
- Documentation:
- Document test results, including defects and their resolutions, as well as testing procedures and guidelines.
- Contribute to the creation of user guides and technical documentation related to quality assurance processes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Provide input to enhance the software development process by identifying areas for improvement in quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Propose and implement solutions to streamline testing procedures and optimize resource utilization.
