Location: Noida / Pune / Bangalore / Jaipur (Hybrid – Work from Office once a week)
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer – Data Migration with strong expertise in ETL testing, data migration validation, and SQL-based data verification. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data migration processes across source and target systems while working closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for data migration projects.
- Validate ETL processes and migrated data across source and target systems.
- Perform data reconciliation, completeness, accuracy, and integrity testing.
- Verify data survivorship and deduplication business rules.
- Identify, document, track, and resolve migration defects through closure.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, execution reports, and defect summaries.
- Support SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Production Validation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration outcomes.
- Ensure migration quality standards and acceptance criteria are consistently met.
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Data Migration Testing.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in ETL Testing.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
- Experience in ETL testing and end-to-end data quality validation.
- Good understanding of data profiling, survivorship, and deduplication concepts.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or other cloud-based data platforms.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to test automation tools is an added advantage.
