Job Title: QA Engineer (Contract)

Experience: 1+years

Location: Gurgaon

About the Role

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+years of experience in QA testing (manual and automation).
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver and Appium.
• Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and debugging queries for data validation.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Java or Python for test automation.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of mobile and web application testing, including cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Experience with defect management and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in fintech or start-up environments.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manual Testing:
• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to create test cases and scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency through rigorous backend validations using SQL.
• Log, track, and report defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Automation Testing:
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium and Rest Assured.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks for mobile applications.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure testing is aligned with project goals.
• Provide feedback on usability and suggest improvements during design reviews.
• Test Management:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test strategies.
• Identify and document test metrics, test coverage, and test results.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest testing trends, tools, and best practices.
• Actively contribute to improving testing processes and methodologies.
