Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester with a strong background in test automation frameworks and proven expertise in the financial domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test suites using Playwright with Java, TestNG, Maven, and Cucumber BDD, working primarily in Eclipse IDE.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of robust, scalable test automation frameworks for web-based financial applications using Playwright and Java.
- Develop and maintain BDD test scenarios using Cucumber integrated with TestNG.
- Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Ensure end-to-end automation coverage of critical financial workflows (e.g., transactions, validations, reporting).
- Maintain and manage automation codebase using Maven for build management and Git for version control.
- Participate in test planning, estimations, and test strategy reviews.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in automation best practices.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines and manage execution across test environments.
- Identify risks and escalate issues impacting test delivery timelines.

Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience using Playwright or equivalent modern UI automation tools.
- Expertise in Cucumber BDD framework and TestNG.
- Strong understanding of Maven, Eclipse IDE, and Git-based source control.
- Deep knowledge of financial domain processes such as payments, banking workflows, KYC, compliance, or trading platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Exposure to performance testing or API automation (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
- Experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent (optional).
