QA Engineer-Automation & Performance

JOB TITLE: Senior QA Automation & Performance Engineer

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead quality assurance processes, functional automation, and performance testing across distributed application teams.

• Own, design, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications and RESTful services.

• Implement automated performance, load, and stress testing for APIs to identify system bottlenecks before deployment.

• Integrate automated E2E and performance test suites directly into Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions.

• Collaborate with distributed software development teams to set and enforce quality gate standards.

• Manage test scenarios, scripts, and code using Git source control and Jira project management.

• Operate with high autonomy as the primary quality owner, driving testing initiatives with minimal supervision.

 

QUALIFICATION

• Strong understanding of core QA methodologies, test automation patterns, and Continuous Delivery concepts

• Deep understanding of Web-based architecture, and RESTful APIs

• Hands-on experience with modern web automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium).

• Proficiency in at least one primary programming language used for test automation (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Java).

 

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and test automation.

• Proven experience in designing and executing performance, load, and stress testing using tools such as k6, or JMeter.

• Experience setting up, executing, and maintaining automated test suites within GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience testing modern web application architectures (SPAs, microservices, containerized environments).

• Hands-on experience working in cloud environments (Azure platform preferred).

 

KNOWLEDGE

• Deep knowledge of defining comprehensive test cases and edge cases with minimal supervision.

• Knowledge of performance metrics (latency, response time, throughput, error rates) and establishing failure thresholds in CI pipelines.

• Ability to analyze root causes of bugs, document detailed findings, and provide actionable engineering recommendations to improve system reliability.

• Exceptional self-motivation, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

 

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
