Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (QE) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through a combination of manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test planning, test execution, automation framework development, API and database testing, and defect management. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle while embracing modern testing practices and AI-assisted quality engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and API testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Selenium-based automation frameworks and test suites to improve test coverage, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools and intelligent agents to accelerate test case creation, automation script development, and quality analysis.
- Conduct API and backend/database validation to ensure seamless system integration and data accuracy.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects while working closely with developers and product teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Perform release validation, smoke testing, and post-deployment verification to ensure successful production releases.
- Drive continuous quality improvements by adopting best practices in test automation, CI/CD, and AI-driven quality engineering.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in manual testing, including Functional Testing, Test Case Design, Test Execution, and Defect Tracking.
- Proven expertise in Selenium WebDriver with C# and experience developing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of SQL and hands-on experience with database testing and data validation.
- Experience in API testing using Testfully or similar API testing tools.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
