QA Engineer (AR/VR & DevX)

• Role OverviewWe are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Developer Experience (DevX) team, focusing on manual and automated testing for ARCore and XR projects. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience and a strong background in testing AR/VR applications and devices.
• This is a technical QA role, not a regular web or UI testing position.
• The QA engineer will work on AR/XR platforms, SDKs, and APIs that other developers and OEMs use to build AR/VR applications. The focus is on platform-level and device-level testing, debugging, and deep issue analysis.

Think of this as: QA for developer tools (SDKs & APIs), not just end-user apps.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Conduct manual and automated testing of features across AR/VR applications and hardware.
• Find, isolate, document, and track bugs through resolution, ensuring high-quality
• releases.
• Review user interfaces for functionality and conformity to design standards.
• Collaborate with test engineering teams to understand technical architecture and feature implementation.
• Manage and maintain test loaned hardware, including weekly inventory reports.

• QualificationsBasic Qualifications
• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, IT, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in C/C++, Java, or Python; experience with Unix/Linux or Windows.
• QA Expertise: Strong background in manual testing, bug reporting, and debugging.

• Preferred QualificationsExperience testing mobile and VR/AR devices.
• Ability to gather test requirements and define quality metrics.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and script maintenance.
