QA Engineer

Essential skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working on QA teams ideally with some focus on automation.
• Ability to build test plans and support the team with both manual and automated testing.
• Experience with developing load and stress tests.
• Knowledge of Git or other source control tools.
• Familiarity with testing APIs through Postman or other API testing tools.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Exposure to some test management tools.
• Enthusiasm for working in a small environment and the ability to be cross-functional.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and familiarity working in an agile environment.
• Passion for technology and working with a team to continuously improve our tools, and our processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strong QA process with manual and automated testing.
• Support testing for Blazor/ASP.NET frontend, web APIs and SQL server databases as the backend.
• Work with engineers and business users to gather and review requirements and ensure that they are testable.
• Build automated testing frameworks for continuous testing and delivery.
• Participate in development of the test approach based on established standards and the analysis of design documentation and requirements.
• Acquire and create test data and analyze/verify data.
• Responsible for bug management process and issue identification and tracking (bug advocacy).
• Assist the support team in activities related to application deployment where applicable.
• Serve as Level 2 support for production issues and related support needs.
