Qa Automation Testing Engineer

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation testing
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following frameworks/tools: Cucumber, Selenium, or Karate
• Exposure to cloud-based platforms or testing in cloud-hosted environments
• Ability to write clean, reusable, and scalable test scripts
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect lifecycle, and Agile processes
• Nice-to-Have Skills
• Familiarity with performance or security testing concepts
• Experience with additional test frameworks or automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, JMeter)
• Understanding of API testing tools such as Postman or Karate
• Relevant certifications in QA automation or cloud technologies
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, or Karate
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and convert them into test scenarios
• Execute test suites and log/report defects effectively
• Support testing of cloud-hosted applications and maintain stable test environments
• Contribute to optimizing and scaling automation frameworks
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups
• Perform root cause analysis of test failures and implement corrective actions
