QA Automation SDET - Senior Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Support and enhance test automation frameworks for functional, integration, and regression testing
Write reusable, maintainable, and scalable automated test scripts
Collaborate with QA teams to transition manual test cases into automated tests
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Perform code reviews with a focus on testability and quality
Debug and resolve issues identified through automated and manual testing
Participate in requirement analysis to identify automation opportunities early
Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality benchmarks
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with Java
Solid experience in Spring Boot (REST APIs, Microservices)
Exposure to test automation tools/frameworks such as:
Selenium / Playwright / Cypress (any one or more)
TestNG / JUnit
Experience with API automation (e.g., RestAssured or equivalent)
Understanding of automation test design patterns and best practices
Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and build pipelines
Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Good debugging and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment
Good to Have
Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, etc.)
Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling)
Experience in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Prior experience in shift-left testing or test strategy discussions
