Job Title: Automation Engineer - QA
Location: Hyderabad
Functional & Manual Testing
- Analyze business and technical requirements to understand application behavior and define comprehensive test coverage.
- Design, review, and execute detailed functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end test cases for web applications.
- Perform effective manual testing to validate user workflows, business rules, and system integrations.
- Ensure thorough validation across the complete end‑to‑end testing lifecycle of applications.
- Identify, log, track, and validate defects using defect management tools, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience in Selenium, Cucumber and Java
- 3 to 5 years of experience in automation testing with a solid functional testing background.
- Experience working with Jenkins and GitHub for continuous integration and test execution.
- Strong understanding of web and standalone application automation.
- Good hands‑on experience in API testing.
- Strong understanding of testing principles, methodologies, STLC, and SDLC.
Process & Tools
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Good understanding and hands‑on experience with continuous testing tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail.
Good to Have
- Knowledge or hands‑on experience with Python.
- Experience or exposure to leveraging AI for testing (AI‑assisted test design, automation, or analysis).
- Good hands‑on experience in load and performance testing using JMeter.
- Experience contributing to QA process improvements and automation best practices.
