Role Details:
- Mandatory Skills: Web API Automation (Python), SoapUI, PyCharm, SQL, scripting
- Nice-to-Have but strongly recommended: Experience with performance and/or security testing
- Primary KPI: Defect containment, including accuracy and thoroughness in bug tracking and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Automation of features for web applications and Web APIs
- Familiarity with testing and testing life cycle.
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline. Master's desirable.
- Typically, 6+ years experience.
Knowledge and Must have Skills:
- Should have 5 to 8 years of experience in testing and Minimum 3+ years in Automation.
- Must have experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, SoapUI, Python and must have knowledge on Pycharm.
- Proven work experience in software development and software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
