As an Automation Test Engineer with 3+ years of experience in Automation, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions for web browser–based applications to ensure high-quality software releases. You will also leverage AI-assisted testing tools to improve test efficiency, coverage, and defect detection.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web browser automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
- Execute automation across multiple web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.) and validate cross-browser compatibility.
- Develop and execute API automation tests using REST Assured.
- Identify and prioritize automation test scenarios from regression, sanity, and smoke suites.
- Analyze test execution results, debug failures, and report defects with clear logs and screenshots.
- Integrate automation execution with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Manage automation code using Git/GitHub, following version control best practices.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to resolve defects efficiently.
- Participate in peer reviews of automation scripts and test cases.
- Use AI-assisted tools for:
- Test case creation and optimization
- Failure analysis and flaky test detection
- Improving automation coverage and productivity
- Perform testing in Agile/Scrum environments and support sprint deliverables.
- Stay updated with latest browser automation trends, AI testing tools, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in Web Automation Testing
- Strong Java programming skills
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Experience in web browser testing and cross-browser validation
- API automation experience using REST Assured
- Experience with Jenkins for automation execution
- Knowledge of Git or GitHub
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools
- Good analytical, debugging, and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber
- Knowledge of Maven / Gradle
- Experience with Playwright or Cypress
- Basic SQL knowledge
