QA Automation Engineer – Python AutomationAbout the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based test automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks for both web and mobile applications using Selenium, Appium, and Playwright.

This role requires a strong automation mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work closely with development and product teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python.
• Develop automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
• Create and execute mobile automation test cases using Appium.
• Build and maintain reusable automation libraries and utilities.
• Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.
• Perform API automation testing and validation.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test execution results and troubleshoot automation failures.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
• Maintain automation documentation, test reports, and quality metrics.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and testing processes.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall QA Automation Testing experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Python Automation experience.
• Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong hands-on experience in Appium for mobile automation.
• Strong experience with Playwright automation.
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• API Automation using Python frameworks.
• Experience working with cloud-based testing environments.
• Exposure to performance or security testing.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized test execution.
