Roles & Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents.
- Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using defect management tools.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality.
- Conduct UAT support and validation.
- Participate in test planning and estimation activities.
Automation Testing
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks.
- Automate functional and regression test cases.
- Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze automation results and report defects.
- Continuously improve test automation coverage and efficiency.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Experience in manual testing of web, mobile, or API applications.
- Experience in test automation tools such as:
- Selenium
- Cypress
- Playwright
- TestNG / JUnit
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
- Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Good to Have
- Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 37 years of experience in software testing (manual + automation).
