Power the Future of QA Automation & Why This Role Matters
As a
QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Sirion's platform by automating UI and API testing workflows. Your work will directly impact product stability and release confidence by building scalable automation frameworks and ensuring robust test coverage across evolving features.
This is a hands-on role where strong expertise in
Java, Selenium, and API automation is essential to accelerate testing efficiency and maintain high engineering standards.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Automate UI testing using Selenium (Java) with robust design patterns (POM, reusable components).
- Develop API automation frameworks using REST Assured for functional and regression testing.
- Perform API validation using Postman for exploratory and edge-case scenarios.
- Design and execute TestNG-based test suites with clear reporting and parallel execution.
- Integrate and execute automation via Maven within CI/CD pipelines.
- Enhance and maintain scalable automation frameworks (UI + API).
- Create and maintain test cases, test data, and automation scripts for new features.
- Debug failures, identify root causes, and log defects in JIRA with clear reproducibility.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams for test strategy, coverage, and quality improvements.
Skills & Experience You Bring To The Table
- 3–5 years of QA automation experience in product-based or fast-paced environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Java (OOPs, collections, exception handling).
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (locators, waits, cross-browser testing).
- Solid experience in API automation (REST Assured) including request/response validation, auth handling, and data-driven testing.
- Experience with TestNG (annotations, grouping, parallel runs, reporting).
- Experience with Maven for build and dependency management.
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks design (POM, modular, reusable utilities).
- Experience in test case design, defect lifecycle, and JIRA workflows.
- Good understanding of HTTP protocols, REST APIs, and authentication (OAuth, Basic Auth).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins or equivalent).
- Understanding of scalable automation framework design patterns (POM, BDD, etc.).
- Good knowledge of performance or load testing tools.
