QA Automation Engineer - Selenium

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Execution

• Automate Java API and UI test cases using Selenium, Rest Assured, SoapUI, and Postman.
• Design and develop reliable, reusable, and efficient automation test scripts.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment.
• Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects.

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

• Work closely with developers, solution architects, business analysts, and other testers to define testing strategies.
• Identify, document, and track defects to resolution.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, regression, and performance testing.

Process Improvement & Best Practices

• Stay updated with industry trends in test automation and implement best practices.
• Improve test frameworks and automation strategies for better efficiency.
• Maintain test documentation and reports for visibility and traceability.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in test automation using Selenium, Rest Assured, SoapUI, and Postman.
• Strong experience in Java-based automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Good knowledge of API testing, validation, and automation.

Tools & Technologies

• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Experience with Rest Assured for API test automation.
• Familiarity with SoapUI and Postman for API testing.
• Strong understanding of Git and version control workflows.
• Exposure to Agile testing methodologies and working in Scrum teams.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, Agile environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience in performance testing.
• Knowledge of Cloud-based testing frameworks.
• Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
