As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll help keep those systems reliable, maintainable, and production-ready as we scale.
We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong Playwright expertise to drive quality across multiple fast-paced products. You'll own automation strategy, release validation, test infrastructure, and quality processes across development, staging, and production environments. We leverage AI-assisted workflows to accelerate testing and development, and you'll help ensure our automated testing ecosystem remains reliable, scalable, and production-ready.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the Playwright automation framework across web, API, mobile, and backend systems
- Design, review, debug, and maintain automated test suites with a strong focus on reliability, maintainability, and coverage
- Review and enhance AI-assisted test artifacts and automation workflows to ensure high-quality outcomes
- Build reusable test infrastructure, fixtures, utilities, test data management, and reporting solutions
- Validate APIs, databases (SQL), and end-to-end business workflows
- Manage automated test execution, reporting, and quality gates within AWS CodePipeline and CI/CD environments
- Investigate test failures, regressions, release risks, and production issues, driving root-cause analysis and resolution
- Improve automation coverage, reduce flaky tests, and strengthen overall product quality across multiple applications
- Perform security, vulnerability, reliability, and performance validations to proactively identify risks before release
- Contribute to manual exploratory and regression testing when required
- Partner closely with engineering and product teams to support frequent, high-quality releases
Requirements
- 2+ years of QA Automation experience (candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply)
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation
- Strong testing fundamentals and understanding of modern quality engineering practices
- Ability to read, debug, maintain, and improve automation code in JavaScript/TypeScript; exposure to Python is preferred
- Experience with API testing, SQL, and end-to-end system validation
- Experience working with AWS CodePipeline or similar CI/CD platforms
- Solid understanding of test reliability, flaky tests, race conditions, debugging, and failure analysis
- Ability to review, refactor, and improve automation frameworks with a focus on scalability and maintainability
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS services
- Exposure to security testing concepts and tools (OWASP, Burp Suite, ZAP, etc.)
- Experience with performance testing tools such as k6
- Experience working with AI-assisted development and testing workflows
- Exposure to Java-based applications or automation ecosystems
