QA Automation Engineer – Backend API Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web applications and backend API testing using Selenium and Java.

• Perform manual and automated testing activities including regression, functional, integration, and API testing.

• Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts.

• Execute automated and manual test cases, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution of issues.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and successful project delivery.

• Provide clear and effective communication regarding test execution status, defects, risks, and overall test results to stakeholders and QA leads.

• Work with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and version control systems like Git to support automated testing pipelines.

• Utilize test management tools such as Quality Center for test planning, execution, and defect tracking.

• Support both manual and automation testing activities across multiple applications and environments.

• Participate in Agile development processes and follow STLC/SDLC methodologies for quality assurance practices.

• Perform regression testing using both manual and automated scripts to ensure application stability and performance.

• Exposure to performance testing using JMeter will be considered an added advantage.
