About the Role:

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will contribute to the work of the digital products team and ensure that new and existing products meet high standards of usability and quality. This is a full-stack QA role that requires a blend of SQL skills, automation, and manual testing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Actively participate in the product team throughout the lifecycle, collaborating on the analysis, design, development, and testing.
  • Release Planning: Participate in release planning meetings to create stories with acceptance criteria and help identify missing or incomplete requirements.
  • Automation Framework: Maintain and develop new strategies for the automation framework and related activities.
  • Script Creation: Create and execute automated scripts for regression, integration, and functional testing on newly designed or modified applications/systems.
  • Defect Reporting: Clearly articulate defects verbally and in writing, and monitor/update defect reports to ensure timely resolution.
  • Risk Analysis: Perform application and project risk analysis, recommending quality improvements.
  • Follow-Up: Independently follow up with design/development resources regarding defects.
  • Communication: Communicate defects or delays in software immediately to appropriate team members and management.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and coach team members and new team members.
  • Performance Testing: Evaluate solutions to design, script, and execute performance tests (Load, Stress).
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant QA technical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of QA tools, concepts, and methodologies to translate requirements into test plans.
  • Clear communicator (written and verbal) to ensure cross-functional team collaboration and work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Required Technologies and Concepts:
  • SQL (PostgreSQL), with the ability to write complex queries.
  • Test Automation experience, with a focus on Python, Selenium, JMeter, Jenkins, and Postman.
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables with the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
