Cortex is Hiring for : QA Automation Engineer | Device-to-Cloud / IoT Testing

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Device-to-Cloud testing, test automation, IoT protocols, and protocol-level validation.

Mandatory Requirement

TR-369 / TR-69 Experience Is Mandatory.

Candidates must have experience with Python or Java.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end Device-to-Cloud test scenarios covering telemetry, device provisioning, remote configuration, and cloud pipelines.
• Build, maintain, and scale automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium.
• Validate real-time and asynchronous communication between devices and cloud backends using MQTT and WebSockets.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Work closely with firmware engineers, cloud backend developers, and product teams to identify, debug, and resolve issues across hardware and cloud layers.
• Perform API, backend, integration, and protocol-level testing.
  
  

Required Skills

• 4 7 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, preferably with strong Device-to-Cloud / IoT testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with TR-369 / TR-69 (USP), including device management, controller-agent interactions, and cloud communication.
• Strong automation experience with Playwright and Selenium.
• Practical experience testing MQTT and WebSockets using tools such as Mosquitto, Postman, JMeter, or custom scripts.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and asynchronous message payloads such as JSON and Protobuf.
  
  

Good to Have

• Experience with Wireshark or other network packet analysis tools.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Linux environments.
• Exposure to cloud IoT platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or GCP.
• Experience working with CI/CD and DevOps environments.
