Python with PHP Fullstack Developer

JOB TITLE: Senior Fullstack Engineer (Python70% + 30% PHP)

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of large-scale web applications. This role requires a versatile developer capable of managing robust PHP environments while driving modern Python microservices and building high-performance React frontends.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and scale backend services using PHP (Laravel/Symfony) and Python (FastAPI/Django).

• Maintain and modernize legacy PHP systems, including WordPress-based and standalone web applications.

• Develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React and modern CSS.

• Design, implement, and document secure RESTful API integrations.

• Manage MySQL/PostgreSQL databases with a focus on query optimization and performance tuning.

• Orchestrate scalable deployments using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in legacy systems.

• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence across the team.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:

• 6+ years of professional web development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience in PHP and Python backend development.

• Experience with at least one PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter).

• Experience with at least one Python framework (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).

• Strong JavaScript (ES6+), React, and CSS skills.

• Solid experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query optimization.

• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and code review skills.

GOOD-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience maintaining and modernizing WordPress-based or legacy PHP applications.

• Hands-on exposure to Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

• Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small technical teams.
