In this role, you will contribute to the implementation of a micro-service Back-End for our Enterprise Knowledge Graph, revolutionizing how we handle data within the bank.
You will:
- Be a senior developer on cross-organizational and cross divisional projects, automating our data value chain processes through services written mostly in Python
- Implement mission critical frameworks and components for the UBS Knowledge Graph
- Develop and maintain a combined schema registry for all structured data markup to understand the bank's entire data estate
- Design and develop services based on LLMs to help our internal customers better understand content in the firm's data mesh

You will be part of a nimble, multi-disciplinary Data Architecture team within Group CTO, collaborating closely with specialists across various areas of Group Technology. Our team provides the foundation for data-driven management, facilitating processes from strategic and architecture planning to demand management, development, and deployment. The team is globally distributed, with members primarily based in Switzerland, the UK, India, and the US.
Your expertise
You have:
- strong command of Python; experience in other languages such as Rust is a plus
- experience working with LLM's, RAG solutions and LangChain/LangGraph
- proactive in discovering and implementing optimal solutions
- strong team player with an ownership mindset
Desired:
- experience building modern solutions, including data streaming and cloud-based architectures.
- expertise in designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- familiarity with graph databases (e.g., GraphDB, Anzograph, Jena, Neo4J) is advantageous.

- willing to take full ownership of problems and code, with the ability to hit the ground running and deliver exceptional solutions.
- a strong problem solver who anticipates issues and resolves them proactively.
- skilled in communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
