Roles and Responsibilities

Primary Skills 

  • Strong scripting skills in Python and, with the ability to automate and optimize processes using scripting and infrastructure as code (IaC) 
  • Expertise in CI/CD Pipeline and Tools such as Jenkins and GitLab and development of shared libraries 
  • In-depth knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) 
  • Comfortable with version control systems (Git, SVN) and Linux Command line 
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience managing and mentoring teams of engineers. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both with technical and non-technical stakeholders 

 

Good to have Skills 

  • Agile Scrum based Development.  
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with hands-on expertise in building AWS AMIs to use as custom build servers. 
  • Experience with common OSS observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki), and implementation (Metrics, Logs, Traces) 
  • Exposure to Artifact repositories (Artifactory), Content Delivery Networks (CDN) 
  • Experience with Node.js package/module creation and publishing, dependency management tools (npm, yarn), JavaScript libraries and build tooling. 
  • Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in a production environment 
  • Experience with building AOSP source code is a plus 
  • Productivity tool development 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions to manage our infrastructure and improve our CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Be Responsive & Reliable and ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our systems. 
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across world to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of projects 
  • Initiate deep technical design discussions within your team, and across partner teams, and ensure that we are building the right systems and keeping the quality high. 
  • Enable our infrastructure to achieve a high level of reliability while keeping simplicity front and centre. 
  • Champion and build automation first within the infrastructure group 
  • Build tools that streamline development and deployment of infrastructure stacks 
  • Build and scale our monitoring and metrics tooling, standards, and processes, to facilitate data-informed decision making. 
  • Optimize the utilization of cloud resources to balance performance and cost. 
  • Implement and maintain security controls in a production environment. 
  • Perform code reviews and sanity checks for the code developed.  
  • Mentor and guide your team of engineers, helping them to grow their skills and advance their careers 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and make recommendations for improving the company's technology stack
