Full Stack Engineer (Job Description)
Role Summary
We're hiring for Full Stack Engineer to build an AI-driven forecasting experience: AWS Bedrock Agents on the backend and an Angular (v16+ preferred; compatible with Angular 21 roadmap) real-time chat + visualization UI on the front end. This is a hands-on engineering role—not an ETL-only or big data tooling position. We need a strong Python engineer who can process large datasets efficiently and ship production-grade services on AWS.
Backend Responsibilities (Primary)
- Build new agent tools/actions using AWS Bedrock Agent Action Groups (Lambda-backed tools).
- Integrate existing internal/external APIs into Action Groups via OpenAPI schemas, standardize contracts (versioning, validation, error shapes).
- Design and implement forecasting input pipelines: ingestion, transformations, feature prep, aggregation, and validation.
- Implement business logic and data transformation layers with strong test coverage.
- Ensure robust error handling, retries, idempotency, and clear observability (logs/metrics/traces).
- Secure tool interfaces (IAM policies, scoped permissions, secrets management) for safe function/tool calling.
- Implement async workflows for long-running/high-throughput work (queues/events).
Backend Essential Skills
- Python proficiency (must-have): production services, testing, profiling, packaging, clean architecture.
- Large dataset handling in Python: memory/performance-aware processing (vectorization, chunking/streaming; pandas/NumPy/Polars or similar).
- API development: REST and/or GraphQL, contract-first design, schema validation.
- Database design + query optimization (SQL; Postgres/Aurora/Redshift a plus).
- ETL/ELT patterns focused on correctness, validation, lineage, and maintainability.
- Strong AWS experience: Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, S3 (Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS are plus).
- AWS Bedrock Agents concepts: Action Groups, orchestration, tool/function calling, secure interfaces.
- Asynchronous processing with queues (DLQs, retries, idempotency).
Frontend Responsibilities (Primary)
- Build a responsive chat interface for the AI bot in Angular.
- Implement real-time streaming LLM responses (SSE/WebSockets), including partial output rendering and tool-call status.
- Create interactive forecasting visualizations and scenario exploration (what-if analysis).
- Manage conversation history/state and ensure accessibility + cross-browser compatibility.
- Optimize UI performance under frequent incremental updates.
Frontend Essential Skills
- Angular 16+ (TypeScript, RxJS) and solid front-end architecture fundamentals.
- Real-time protocols: Server-Sent Events and/or WebSockets.
- Data visualization libraries: D3.js / Chart.js / Recharts (or similar).
- UX sensibility for conversational interfaces (progressive disclosure, clear error states, trust).
- Ability to generate, review, and test copilot-produced code like production code (quality/security).
Nice-to-Have
- OpenMetadata (or strong metadata/lineage management experience).
- Experience building LLM products (tool orchestration, guardrails, evals).
- Forecasting/time-series familiarity (helpful, not required).
