About the Role

We are hiring a dedicated Python Django Developer for a full-time contractual role to work on backend development, API creation, integrations, and feature enhancements. The candidate should be capable of independently handling assigned modules and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend systems using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Build scalable REST APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend applications.
• Implement authentication, user management, and role-based access features.
• Design and manage relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Optimize SQL queries, create migrations, and maintain data integrity.
• Work with caching systems (Redis preferred).
• Integrate third-party APIs (payment gateways, SMS/email services, cloud tools).
• Support deployment on cloud platforms like AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and debugging sessions.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and security best practices.
  

• Strong knowledge of Python and Django framework.
• Hands-on experience with Django REST Framework.
• Solid understanding of SQL, ORM, and relational database concepts.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JS for debugging and API integration.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Ability to work independently and deliver within deadlines.

• Experience with Celery/background tasks.
• Knowledge of authentication systems like JWT/OAuth.
• Exposure to microservices or event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3) or cloud hosting.

• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ownership-driven, reliable, and consistent in delivery.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
