Senior Python Django Developer with 6+ years of experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
Python, Django, REST APIs, databases, and cloud technologies, along with the ability to design backend architecture and mentor junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Python and Django
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF)
- Implement scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications
- Optimize database queries, indexing, and migrations for performance
- Collaborate with frontend teams, product managers, and DevOps engineers
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
- Work with asynchronous processing (Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ)
- Manage cloud deployments on AWS/Azure/GCP
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical roadmaps
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Technical Skills
- 6+ years of experience in Python development
- Strong experience with Django & Django REST Framework
- Proficiency in REST API design and backend architecture
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB
- Experience with ORM optimization, caching (Redis), and Celery
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (preferred)
- Knowledge of AWS / Azure / GCP cloud services
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins/GitHub Actions
- Strong debugging, testing (PyTest), and performance optimization skills
