About the Role

Act as a think tank and Implement GeoSpatial solutions. Demonstrates expertise in one's own field/ area of work (like NatCat perils and man-made cat).

Responsibilities

• Proven knowledge in Algorithms Development
• Knowledge of working with different tools and software for data extraction, data reading
• Understanding of test scenarios / features and ensuring all aspects are tested
• Having experience in risk model development for floods, wind (Hurricane/Typhoon), and Earthquake modelling
• Good understanding of deep learning applications like Image recognition, NLP, GenAI. Developing models and maintaining end to end journey
• Recognizes various concepts, jargon, and products employed in the insurance industry

Qualifications

• Recognized with either a master's with 3-5 years of relevant experience or PhD in Geomatics / Remote Sensing / Geoinformatics with 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience in GIS, Remote Sensing, Water resources, Meteorology, Atmospheric science, Seismic Science, Earthquake engineering, and Structural engineering
• Recognizable domain knowledge wherein the individual has awareness of insurance concepts, products, and jargon within the basic and regulatory frameworks
• Previous experience with catastrophes like hydro-hazards, earthquake, hurricane etc.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in developing solutions through R&D in Geomatics, GenAI and advanced technology areas
• Geospatial specialization: skills in Geospatial S/Ws like ArcGIS and OSC like QGIS, experience with datasets and python / R scripts and developing automations
• Good understanding of GeoSpatial Datasets and Database Management in DB like Postgres / SQL Server etc
• Hand on experience working on cloud infra like AWS / Azure / DataBricks will be a great value addition
• Applied skills in MS Office Word, Excel, and Access
• Working knowledge of SQL and able to code and optimize queries
• Professional writing style with the ability to formulate emails, presentations, and documents
• Competent to work in an active and diverse environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
