A staffing & HR solutions provider serving technology, SaaS and digital-product companies across India is hiring engineering talent for client-facing product teams. We are sourcing an on-site Python Developer to join a fast-paced product engineering group building scalable web applications and APIs for enterprise customers. The role requires hands-on backend engineering, testing discipline and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and web frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
- Write clean, testable code and maintain automated test suites (unit and integration tests); participate actively in code reviews and CI/CD workflows.
- Model and optimise relational databases, implement efficient queries and use ORMs (Django ORM/SQLAlchemy) for data access.
- Containerise applications with Docker and collaborate on build pipelines to support repeatable deployments.
- Diagnose and resolve performance and reliability issues; implement caching, background jobs and observability as required.
- Work closely with frontend, QA and product teams to translate requirements into robust technical designs and deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications Must-Have
- Strong proficiency in Python and practical experience with at least one web framework: Django, Flask or FastAPI.
- Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Proficiency with Docker and source control using Git; familiarity with CI/CD concepts and pipelines.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using pytest or equivalent frameworks and following test-driven practices.
- Hands-on experience with performance profiling, query optimisation, caching strategies and background processing.
- Comfortable working on-site in India and collaborating in agile product teams with regular sprints and releases.
Preferred
- Experience with AWS cloud services (ECS/ECR, RDS, Lambda) or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Celery, Redis or other background-job and caching solutions.
- Exposure to microservices patterns and container orchestration (Kubernetes) and observability tooling.
