The ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Python development, providing technical leadership, designing scalable solutions, and driving best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of Python-based applications, APIs, and automation solutions.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Python programming and related technologies.
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met.
- Assist in deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including understanding deployment pipelines and cloud services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis.
- Document technical specifications and contribute to best practices and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Required Skills
- 6 to 9 years of extensive experience in Python development.
- Proven expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Python.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database design, querying, and optimization.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) including cloud deployment fundamentals.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within teams.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with other programming languages or frameworks is a plus.
