Role and responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications using Python and Microsoft Azure.
- Drive AI-PDLC adoption by leveraging approved AI tools for code generation, code review, testing, documentation, and engineering productivity.
- Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices.
- Architect and implement AI-enabled solutions using LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Services.
- Collaborate with Architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Engineers, QA, DevOps, and AI/ML teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Perform code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and mentor developers on Python best practices.
- Develop and optimize data processing pipelines, AI workflows, and API integrations.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, containerization, and cloud-native deployment strategies.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive continuous modernization and performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with security, quality, GxP, and enterprise engineering standards.

Preferred Skills
- 8–12 years of experience in Python application development.
- Minimum 2–3 years leading technical teams or development workstreams.
- Experience building enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and Azure AI Services.
- Experience working in Pharmaceutical, CRO, Healthcare, or Life Sciences organizations.
- Microsoft Azure Developer or AI Engineer certification is preferred.
- Exposure to MLOps or AI model deployment is an added advantage.
