About the Role:

A leading AI-driven technology company is hiring for the role of Senior Python Engineer – AI Integration to build production-grade AI backend services for a core data orchestration and automation platform. The role focuses on integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), creating reusable AI components, and developing scalable backend systems used in complex enterprise environments.

Our client is engaged in the business of building core AI-powered data orchestration and automation platform designed to operate on top of existing enterprise systems. They develop reusable core technology for healthcare, professional services, manufacturing, and other regulated industries, supported by experienced financial and strategic partners for long-term focus and disciplined execution.

• Data ingestion from complex and non-standard sources such as portals, PDFs, legacy systems, and APIs
• Orchestration of workflows across heterogeneous enterprise systems
• Controlled and auditable AI enablement embedded into real operational processes

About the Founder: The Company is founded and led by an accomplished entrepreneur and technology strategist with an international background across Italy, Europe, and the United States, having a strong track record of building and operating technology initiatives in complex environments and is actively involved in product architecture and strategic decision-making.

Working model:

Hybrid / remote-first (Possibility to come to Dubai for initial on-site working sessions — a few days at a time; potential for longer-term mobility to Dubai, depending on candidate growth and mutual interest.)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build Python backend services for AI workflows
• Integrate LLMs using OpenAI APIs and tool/function calling
• Architect reusable services for prompts, tokenization, and fallback logic
• Develop and maintain APIs using FastAPI
• Optimize AI systems for performance, reliability, and cost

Primary Skills (Must-Have)

• 3+ years of Python backend engineering experience
• 2+ years of hands-on LLM / NLP experience
• Strong experience with OpenAI API integration
• FastAPI for backend service development
• Prompt optimization and fallback strategy design
• Experience with GitHub Copilot, GPT-powered developer tools, and productivity automation
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines and vector databases (Weaviate, Pinecone, Qdrant)
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and backend architecture

Secondary Skills (Good-to-Have)

• Experience with RAG pipelines and vector databases
• Agent workflows (LangChain, MCP, custom agents)
• Cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Additional Requirements

• Clear English communication, written and verbal
• Agile/sprint planning and async-first collaboration (Notion, Linear, GitHub Projects)
• Past work in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, logistics)
• Autonomy in shipping features and reviewing code
• Strong cross-cultural collaboration skills for international teams
