Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with strong expertise in Python application development, GitLab CI/CD, SQL, and UNIX/Linux scripting. The ideal candidate will develop scalable applications, automate deployments, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate in Agile environments. Experience with cloud platforms, containers, and DevOps tools is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications, backend services, and REST APIs.
- Develop and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database queries.
- Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
- Create UNIX/Linux shell scripts to automate operational and deployment activities.
- Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party services.
- Conduct code reviews and follow coding standards and development best practices.
- Troubleshoot application, deployment, and production issues.
- Support deployments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and release activities.
- Maintain technical and operational documentation.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience with Git, GitLab, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of SDLC, DevOps practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with PyTest or UnitTest.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
- Knowledge of messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or ActiveMQ.
- Experience in production support, release management, automation, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Understanding of security best practices and vulnerability remediation.
