Role Profile: Python PSE

Location: Hyderabad, TS

Work Mode: WFO

Summary:

The role of the Production Support Engineer is a technical role that's ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the platform / system and services.

This individual will work under the general direction of a supervisor, while managing their own time and resources to support daily operational activities (monitoring and maintaining Servers and services of the platform).

Responsibilities:

* Analyze problems reported runtime, diagnose and do occasional code fixes with low to medium complexity

* Work with developers to identify and resolve more complicated problems

* Address urgent issues quickly, work within and measure against customer SLAs

* Adapt installer, shell scripts and Perl scripts and aggressively automate manual / repetitive tasks through scripting.

* Automate scripts / tasks for reporting and maintenance; and build anomaly detectors wherever applicable

* Provide feedback from customer users to the team

* Maintain on-going record of problem analysis and resolution activity in an on-call tracking system.

* Proactively monitors production and non-production environments and applications. Fix any issues in the same.

* Be proactive and independent in monitoring, identifying and fixing issues

* Develop smaller complexity features/enhancements in existing system components

Desired Skills:

1. Good exposure to MySQL and writing SQL queries

2. Automation scripting: More advanced tools preferred; Ex: Python, Perl, Shell Scripting.

3. A prior experience in the production support.

4. Prior programming experience: Python preferred

5. Good written and oral communications skills.

6. Familiarity in Storm, Zookeeper, Kafka, Elastic Search, Aerospike, Redis, HBase, Aesop, My SQL
